Katie Kim
Waterford’s Katie Kim released her first album Twelve in
2008. It was met with a warm critical reception across
Ireland. Jim Carroll, the chief critic with The Irish Times
called it “subtle, slow-burning magic”.
Nanu Nanu
Nanu Nanu are an indie electro pop duo. The two members
Glitterface and Marc II have just finished their (as
yet untitled) debut album, which was recorded in Mule
Studios in Rathgar, Dublin. It will be released in March.
Laura Sheeran
Laura Sheeran is a Dublin based musician, composer and artist
who also works with film and theatre. Her reputation and
following have been growing steadily since she started her
solo music project in 2005.
Mia Sparrow
Dublin based three piece Mia Sparrow use guitars, drums,
synths, omnichord and samples to make noise rooted in
melody. Since forming in June 2009 after the demise of
their former band, the critically-acclaimed Story of Hair.
Percolator
Percolator rose from the ashes of fabulous Waterford
shoegaze band Dae Kim. Mixing soft vocals with thrashing
symphonic guitars, cut-up crashing beats and driving
melodic bassllines. Influenced by the sounds of Stereolab.
Popgun Plot
The Popgun Plot hail from West Belfast. They play 1960s and
1978 punk influenced pop songs. The three core members are
Martin Burns, Ali Donnelly and Joe Craig. album is a
collection of songs featuring historical characters.
